I’m Federica, an Italian artist living my dreams, one creation at a time.

My journey began in Rome, where I studied acting

and law, but my heart longed for excitement. So, when I moved to London nearly three decades ago, I immersed myself in different arts. My English was limited to two sentences, but I spoke the language of creativity fluently. From improvisation and mime to woodwork, life drawing, photography, mosaic, sculpture and ceramics, I explored every medium that sparked my soul. Now, my home is a living gallery of my creations—kitchen plates, pots, mosaic bathroom, vibrant staircases, upcycled furniture, dogs accessories ,quilts, curtains and floor cushions to mention few.

Art isn’t just a part of my life; it’s woven into every fiber of my being. I delved into other things like art therapy, massage, nutrition, and aromatherapy while working with children with autism, but  after my third son was born, I wanted to pursue something that wouldn’t take up much space and could leave and get back to whenever, not like ceramics. I found that joy in sewing. After just one day in a sewing class, I was hooked! I earned a diploma in sewing skills and fashion design, and from that point on, sewing became my obsession for over 13 years.

From the bustling streets of London to the alternative beauty of Brighton, and now to my final destination: the wild, enchanting landscapes of Wales. Here, I’ve discovered a place that has captured my heart. The lush green hills, the constant rain, and the breath taking scenery have inspired me like never before.

Within a month of moving, I took a peg loom course and fell in love all over again. This is where all my learnings have summed up unveiling my purpose. In June, I help local farmers with sheep shearing and am rewarded with bags of wool. I spend the winter washing and transforming the fleeces into beautiful creations. My studio is a yurt, where I work alongside my loyal dogs, surrounded by nature’s beauty. Recently, I was gifted a drum carder, which has allowed me to craft unique 'tafties' with a felted backing instead of skin—a kinder choice. To keep warm, I’ve been making felted wool gilets with charming curls, giving form to uniquely stunning wear. I have now combined sustainability with living outside the box and it's suiting me in every way. Creating beauty with consciousness. The perfect balance!
